LIVED EXPERIENCE CONSULTANT
Hayley Peek
Hayley Peek is a Lived Experience Consultant, Facilitator, Certified Peer Supporter, and Speaker working at the intersection of mental health, peer support, and patient experience in Canada.
Driven by her own living and lived experiences with illness, system navigation, and healing, Hayley built her career from the inside out. She entered the field as an entrepreneur and frontline peer support specialist, driven by what she witnessed firsthand—critical gaps in the broader system and outdated frameworks for supporting mental health in the workplace. This foundational experience informs everything she does at an advisory and organizational level, bringing the patient and peer perspective directly into her workshops, keynotes, and program development.
Her work is anchored in the belief that lived experience is expertise and belongs in the spaces where decisions are made.
Hayley is also actively engaged in two areas shaping the future of care: the responsible integration of AI in mental healthcare and the meaningful inclusion of lived experience in research spaces.
She serves on the Unsinkable Program Advisory Committee, the Unsinkable@Work Committee, and is a member of the Public Health Agency of Canada's Expert Roster in Suicide Prevention.
